Fermented water feed benefits
Poor water treatment is a major problem and a real burden, but when properly managed, it can become a valuable resource and even a source of wealth. Directly using wastewater (such as drug-laced or contaminated water) to raise pigs is generally strictly prohibited. Not only is this unhygienic, but it also negatively impacts the living environment in both urban and rural areas. More importantly, pigs raised directly from such water may produce unsafe meat, which can cause illness in both animals and humans. Therefore, proper treatment of the muddy or contaminated water is essential. This includes methods like high-temperature sterilization or using high-quality fermentation agents, such as Jinbaoyu water-feeding fermentation aids. Among these, using Jinbao feed fermentation auxiliaries is considered the most efficient and time-saving approach.
Why? First, high-temperature sterilization requires a lot of fuel and labor, making it inefficient and costly. Second, the water often contains toxic substances and lacks balanced nutrition—especially plant-based proteins are scarce, while animal proteins are excessive and of poor quality. As a result, pigs grow slowly, taking six to seven months to reach market weight, and they are more prone to infectious and parasitic diseases. If an outbreak occurs, it can lead to significant financial loss.
Mr. Liu from Guangdong and Mr. Zhu from Zhejiang have shared their successful experiences using the Golden Baby II type fermentation aid to treat turbid water. Last year, Mr. Liu used the Ginba II fermentation aid to process the wastewater. He also added some insecticide powder, which not only helped eliminate parasites but also accelerated pig growth. Previously, it took six to seven months for pigs to be ready for sale, but now it takes less than four months. The results are comparable to those achieved with full-price feed, saving on fuel costs, reducing labor, and improving pig health. The pigs became shiny, healthy, and the bad odor disappeared.
His method involved fermenting 40-50% of the contaminated water with the Kinpo II fermentation additive. The formula was wheat bran, rice bran, and water, mixed in a 30:30:40 ratio. The moisture content should be adjusted so that when you squeeze the mixture, it forms a ball without dripping. Then, the Jinbao II fermentation agent was added at a rate of 2 per 1000 parts, and the moisture level was kept around 65%. After mixing, the material was placed into a sealed fermentation tank—whether small or large, as long as it can hold one or two tons of material. Fermentation usually takes 3–5 days. Once fermented, it can be stored for over six months if properly covered after each use.
