How to choose automatic water softener

How to Choose a Water Softener? 1. First, you need to specify the system that requires softened water: heating, cooling and hydration, process water, steam boiler, steel smelting industry, or chemical pharmaceutical industry? Understanding the application is essential in determining the right type of softener for your needs. 2. Consider the system's water usage time—whether it runs continuously or has peak and average consumption periods. If continuous water supply is required, it's advisable to choose a Twin Set or Double Control Twin Series system. Otherwise, a single valve single tank model may be sufficient. 3. Determine the total water hardness. Municipal tap water, groundwater, or surface water sources all have different hardness levels. Providing the raw water’s total hardness helps in selecting an appropriate water softener. High hardness can reduce the cycle water production and increase the frequency of regeneration, shortening the resin life. To avoid this, you may need a larger resin volume, which means choosing a higher capacity model. 4. The required soft water flow rate (in tons per hour) is crucial. This depends on the equipment's nature and specifications. We use this data to select the most suitable standard water softener for your system. 5. Set the periodic water production. Once the model is selected, the theoretical working cycle water production (in tons) can be calculated based on the raw water hardness and the resin's exchange capacity. Softening Equipment Selection Guide 1. Controller: We recommend using high-quality controllers such as US FLECK, AUTOTROL, or AQUAMATICYAKE Jacques automatic control valves for reliable performance. 2. Resin Tanks: Available options include domestic RFP tanks, stainless steel tanks, metal-lined plastic tanks (with PE liner), and imported Strlo RFP tanks. Each option offers different durability and suitability for various applications. 3. Operation Control Modes: - L-Type (Flow-based): Automatically regenerates when the set water volume is reached. Ideal for all soft water supply systems. - S-Type (Time-based): Regenerates based on a set schedule. Suitable for systems with stable water usage, typically every 24 hours. 4. Device Combinations: - Single Control Single Tank: May require a shutdown during regeneration or allow bypass of hard water. - Single Control Double Tank: Alternates between two tanks for continuous water supply. - Twin Dual Control: Alternates water supply and regeneration for efficient operation. - Twin Dual Control (Simultaneous): Operates both tanks at the same time, alternating regeneration cycles. - Multi-Control Multi-Tank: Uses more than three tanks in parallel for large-scale water systems. Note: The selection should be based on the raw water hardness. For high hardness water (>8 mmol/L), it's recommended to consider a primary softening unit. For very high hardness (>12 mmol/L), secondary softening or other treatment methods may be necessary. If you are unsure about your water quality, we offer free routine water analysis through our laboratory. With accurate water parameters, we can help you choose the best water softener for your system. Let us assist you in making an informed decision.

Thickener

Thickener is a kind of biological gel that integrates thickening, suspension, emulsification, and stability. Thickener can improve the viscosity of the material system, keep the system in a uniform and stable suspension or emulsion state, or form gel. Most thickeners also have have the function of emulsification. It can be divided into two categories: natural and synthetic.
Thickener is widely used in food, cosmetics, detergent, latex, printing and dyeing, medicine, rubber, coatings, etc.
