The pest control technology of purple cabbage in spring
Pest Control
With proper management, purple cabbage is rarely affected by diseases, making it easy to produce high-quality, pollution-free vegetables that can be safely eaten raw. However, during the seedling stage, high humidity can lead to issues such as damping-off and downy mildew. These can be effectively managed using fungicides like Yunsheng, Dasheng, Carbendazim, Xinluling, and Anke. In terms of pests, aphids, diamondback moths, and cabbage worms are the main threats. Aphids can be controlled by spraying 50% Imidacloprid WP at a dilution of 2000-3000 times or using Scorpion at 1000-1500 times. For cabbage worms, Anji Microemulsion diluted 1000-1500 times or Obtained 26.7-33.3 ml per mu is recommended. Diamondback moths can be controlled with a 1000-1500 times dilution or Easy 1000 times solution. It's important to monitor the crop regularly and apply pesticides according to the instructions to ensure both safety and effectiveness.
Timely Harvest
Purple cabbage has excellent storage and transportation qualities, allowing for multiple harvests based on maturity. The yield per mu can range from 3000 to 4000 kilograms. When harvesting, it's advisable to leave 2-3 outer leaves intact to maintain freshness. After harvesting, store the cabbages in a cool, dry place for up to 50 days, ensuring they remain fresh and marketable. This helps in maintaining product quality and maximizing profits.
