Apricot flower chicken rearing management

1. During the rearing period, chickens require ample space to move and exercise. Typically, the area surrounding the broiler shed is used as a free-range area for the chickens. The recommended stocking density for outdoor activities should be no less than 4-5 birds per square meter. Additionally, there should be a minimum distance of 200 meters between two chicken sheds. When moving chickens to the broiler shed, they should be allowed to stay in the new shed for at least one day and night. This helps them get familiar with the environment, preventing some from refusing to return to the shed later. 2. Considering that chickens are active during the day and rest at night, it's beneficial to let them roam freely in open areas when the weather permits. They can be released in the morning and brought back to the broiler shed in the evening. This not only promotes natural behavior but also improves their overall health and well-being. 3. Broiler sheds must maintain good ventilation and air circulation to ensure a healthy living environment. The litter on the floor should be cleaned every two days to prevent the buildup of waste and reduce disease risk. Feed and water should always be available, and feeders and drinkers should be placed outside or near the entrance of the shed to avoid contamination and make feeding more efficient. 4. Chickens should be raised using the "all-in, all-out" system. After the last batch of chickens has been moved out, the entire shed, surrounding area, and equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The process involves spreading lime on the ground, then spraying disinfectants such as Tetri-Ling or 100 Toxicity inside the shed. Utensils should be washed with a potassium permanganate solution to eliminate bacteria and pathogens. This practice ensures a clean and safe environment for the next batch of chickens.
