Pre-use adjustment of rotary cultivator
1. Level adjustment. Begin by removing the rotary tiller from the ground and checking if the height of the knife tips on both the left and right ends matches the blade height. If not, use the right lifting lever to make necessary adjustments for a balanced setup.
2. Front and rear horizontal alignment. Lower the rotary tiller to the desired working depth and adjust the length of the upper adjustment rod (central rail) to ensure that the intermediate transmission gearbox is level or that the central transmission output shaft is parallel. This helps maintain proper balance and performance during operation.
3. Height adjustment enhancement. When raising the tiller, ensure that the gimbal does not tilt more than 30 degrees. Normally, the knife tip should be lifted just about 20 centimeters off the ground when in the raised position. During field work, it's important to limit the maximum lifting height to prevent damage or instability.
4. Soil breaking performance adjustment. Under normal conditions, you can adjust the soil-breaking efficiency by changing the speed. However, for a rotary tiller equipped with an intermediate transmission box, you can also fine-tune the performance by adjusting the spindle speed for better control and effectiveness.
5. Cultivation adjustment. When using a unit with a powerful tractor that has both force and position adjustment hydraulic systems, always use the position adjustment feature instead of force adjustment. Force adjustment may cause unnecessary stress and potential damage to the rotary tiller. Once the desired tillage depth is achieved, secure the position adjustment handle with a limit screw to ensure consistent depth across all passes.
Proper maintenance and adjustment of your rotary tiller are essential for efficient and safe operation.
