Non-flowering bee feeding points

In the cold season, the temperature gradually decreases, and the number of outside sources decreases, which brings inconvenience to the bee collecting food. Artificial feeding is particularly important for the wintering season of bee colonies, mainly supplementing the bees with sugar water and a small amount of powder. The supplement of sugar water must pay attention to methods, otherwise it is counterproductive and difficult to achieve.

The first is to increase the sugar concentration. Concentration of sugar water should be appropriately increased, preferably about 1:0.8, and then add other nutrients, such as milk powder, vitamins and edible salt, etc., and stir well. According to the difference in the bee species and the difference in the strength of the group, the bee is cast. At the time of initial feeding, the temperature of sugar water may be slightly higher than the temperature at that time in order to attract bees to smoke.

The second is from time to time feeding. Feeding before the freezing season is too early to mislead many bees to attend and fly in vain. If the temperature is too low late in the evening, the bees will already have clumps, which will easily result in no food or food, or increase the difficulty of post-harvest processing. The physical energy consumption of bees will be too large, disrupting the normal order of bees. If you continue to feed for more than one day, you can also properly break the convention and intersperse in advance within a few groups from time to time to prevent the bees from escaping every day because of conditioned reflexes.

The third is to prevent ants from stealing food. Place the four legs of the beehive rack in a basin or bucket filled with clean water to form irresistible waters for the ants and make the cabinet independent of the space. Check the boxes in time and find them on the spot, but do not destroy the ants. Mosquitoicides are sprayed and these drugs pose a great threat to bees.

In addition, it is best to put some dry sorghum stalks, fir branches and leaves floating in the feeder to prevent the bees from licking in the sugar water when they eat.

Auxiliary Facilities

The greenhouse a filled with equipment like hydroponic, irrigation, auxiliary lighting ,temperature and humidity control and also may be automatically controlled by a computer to maximize potential growth.
Hydroponics can be used to make the most use of the interior space. The relatively closed environment of a greenhouse has its own unique management requirements, compared with outdoor production. Pests and diseases, and extremes of heat and humidity, have to be controlled, and irrigation is necessary to provide water. Most greenhouses use sprinklers or drip lines. Significant inputs of heat and light may be required, particularly with winter production of warm-weather vegetables.
