The method of identifying the effective period of pesticides

1. Intuitive method: For powder pesticides, first look at the appearance of the drug. If it is agglomerated, the smell is not strong or there are other odors, and can be made into a group by hand, indicating that it has basically failed; for emulsion pesticides, the bottle is inverted first. If the liquid is turbid or delaminated (i.e. oil-water separation), precipitates are formed or the flocs are suspended, indicating that the agent may have failed.

2, heating method: suitable for powder pesticides. Take 5-10 grams of pesticide and heat it on a metal plate. If there is a lot of white smoke and there is a strong pungent odor, it means that the medicine is good. Otherwise, it shows that it has failed.

3、Floating method: Suitable for wettable powder pesticides. Take 200 grams of clear water and place it in a container. Take 1 gram of pesticide and gently spread it evenly on the surface of the water. Observe it carefully. If it is wet within 1 minute and it is soluble in water, it will be an intact pesticide. Otherwise, it will be a failure pesticide.

4. Suspension: Suitable for wettable powder pesticides. Take 30-50 grams of pesticide and place it in a glass container. Add a small amount of water to make a paste. Add 150-200 grams of water to mix. Stand for 10 minutes to observe. The non-failure pesticide has good solubility, and the powder of the liquid is good. Small, slow sedimentation and less precipitation.

5. Dissolution method: Suitable for suspension pesticides. The precipitated pesticide was put in a bottle of warm water (temperature 50-60°C). After one hour observation, if the precipitate dissolved slowly, it means that the agent has not failed, otherwise it has become invalid.
