Foreign doctors design 3D printing equipment to help people euthanasia
Whether legalization of euthanasia has always been a hot topic of controversy. According to Newsweek, Philip Nitschke designed a suicide machine called "Sarco" and said that the device would let people die peacefully.
Philip Nitschke of Australia is the founder of Exit International, an euthanasia advocacy organization that pursues the legalization of suicide. He believes that choosing death should be a basic human right regardless of the disease situation.
Dr. Philip Nitschke uses 3D printing technology to create a sleek, very luxurious device. It looks like a future aircraft or a private spaceship. Philip Nitschke called the device similar to a spaceship, intended to convince users that they are pursuing a ambitious goal.
Sarco consists of two parts: a capsule and a base. The capsule can be removed from the stand and base and used as a coffin. Sarco works by storing nitrogen in the capsule and once triggered, the nitrogen is released and enters the capsule. After a minute and a half, the suicide person will have a state of drunkenness (nitrogen anesthesia) for a while. Three minutes later, the patient was unconscious and died in about five minutes. According to Pilip Nitschke, Sarco's death pattern compared to decompression in the cabin is relatively painless, with no suffocation and easy for the user to breathe.
Pilip Nitschke is currently signing a licensing agreement with several suicide clinics in Switzerland, but the final plan has not yet been released. Currently, euthanasia is in place in Washington, California, Vermont, and Oregon, and several European countries, such as Switzerland and the Netherlands, will also pass the euthanasia.
