"Sanding Cultivation" Brings New High Yield of Super Hybrid Rice

A new rice cultivation and management technology proposed by Zou Yingbin et al. of Hunan Agricultural University, which is based on local production, seedling production, and nitrogen fixation by measuring seedlings, has been proven through multi-point tests that this new technology can make traditional cultivation possible. Early rice and late rice increased 11.68% and 7.41% respectively.

The reporter learned from the China Science and Technology Association’s scientific journal and news media meeting held recently that the results, which were completed by Prof. Zou Yingbin and Dr. Jiang Peng, were published in the 12th issue of the “Journal of Crops” in 2011.

Hunan Agricultural University and other organizations conducted joint experiments at nine different ecological sites in Guidong and Changde, Hunan Province for 10 consecutive years. High-yield cultivation demonstrations were conducted in 26 counties including Fuling and Xiangyin, and the establishment of super hybrid rice was determined. , Dingling by production, nitrogen cultivation techniques for measuring seedlings, and their morphological and physiological indicators.

In order to explore the application effect and theoretical significance of “three-contained cultivation” technology in the production of double-season super rice, Zou Yingbin et al. (2008–2010) compared field cultivation experiments with double-season super rice in Changsha and Liuyang.

The results show that super rice can achieve high production and high efficiency in the use of nitrogen fertilizers. "Sanding Cultivation" increased yields by 11.68% and 7.41% compared with the traditional early rice and late rice, respectively. Nitrogen fertilizer utilization and agronomic utilization increased by 88.92% and 46.67%, respectively. The results also proved that the nutritional dominance of super rice can be transformed into yield advantage in the later period. The "three-fixing cultivation" has strong nutrient absorption capacity after planting heading, which is beneficial to improve the late nutrition of the plant, increase the seed setting rate and grain weight, and increase the grain yield.

It is reported that the "hybrid cultivation" technology of super hybrid rice has passed the technical achievement appraisal by the head of the expert group of academician Yuan Longping, and has been listed as the main push technology for rice production of the Ministry of Agriculture, and has broad application prospects in the south of China.
