In 1988, foreign scholars adopted genetic engineering methods to obtain the first generation of Bt insect-resistant plants, and the real Bt transgenic plants were the second-generation Bt insect-resistant plants, such as the tobacco-resistant genes obtained by Belgian experts. For more than a decade, domestic and foreign scientists have obtained rice, corn, cotton, and tomato plants that have been transformed into Bt-resistant insect-resistant plants. Some scholars in China have also obtained transgenic mustard plants from Brassica juncea and Brassica napus, but none have yet been obtained. Stable material reports. Among them, a transgenic insect-resistant rape strain was obtained by ovary injection. Practice has proved that this strain has obvious insect resistance to Pieris rapae, and the survival rate of Pieris rapae is significantly reduced, less than 20%, while the control survival rate is as high as 70%. In addition, the feeding speed of P. rapae decreased, and the weight of adult pupae decreased, and the larvae of middle-aged and older larvae prolonged. The insect-resistant advantages of the lines were significant. Prof. Chunyun Chun said that the next phase of the study will focus on the safety of the strain, its impact on the pollination environment of the crop, the stability of the insect resistance, and the impact of the strain on bees in the pollination media. After approval by the Agricultural Bioengineering Safety Committee, more experiments were conducted to participate in regional trials and product release.
