Which common pesticides can be mixed

Many farmers do not know which commonly used pesticides can be mixed and which can not be mixed. The author summarizes the description as follows:

In addition to selecting the counterpart Pesticide according to the target of prevention and control, it is necessary to understand the chemical nature of the pesticide. Mixing of two or more pesticides does not produce adverse chemical and physical changes before they can be mixed.

Pesticides can be divided into three categories: acidic, neutral and alkaline. Acidic pesticides such as copper sulphate, nicotine sulfate, etc.; neutral pesticides such as various organic pesticides, microbial pesticides, etc.; alkaline pesticides such as Bordeaux mixture, lime sulfur mixture, and dexamethasone. When used in combination, neutral pesticides, acidic pesticides, or neutral pesticides and acidic pesticides do not cause chemical changes and physical changes to each other, so they can be mixed. However, most organophosphorus insecticides and carbaryl, dexanammonium, etc., cannot be mixed with alkaline pesticides such as lime sulfur mixture or Bordeaux mixture, nor can they be mixed with alkaline substances such as lime, soap and detergent. Although some pesticides are decomposed under alkaline conditions, the decomposition is relatively slow and can be mixed with alkaline substances. However, they must be used together with them. Otherwise, precipitation may occur, and no protective film can be formed on the plants.

Paraquat

It is an organic compound with the  [(C6H7N)2]Cl2. It is classified as a viologen, a family of redox-active heterocycles of similar structure. Paraquat was manufactured by Chevron. This salt is one of the most widely used herbicides. It is quick-acting and non-selective, killing green plant tissue on contact. It is also toxic to human beings and animals due to its redox activity, which produces superoxide anions. It has been linked to the development of Parkinson's disease. The name is derived from the para positions of the quaternary nitrogens. Paraquat may be in the form of salt with chloride or other anions; quantities of the substance are sometimes expressed by cation mass alone (paraquat cation, paraquat ion).
