Key Techniques for Breeding Broiler Chickens in Winter Vegetable Greenhouse

In the winter-warming vegetable greenhouse, the wintering vegetables of the previous year were harvested in the end of April each year, and the vegetable planting of the new season in early October was not effective for more than five months. Some shed households used to grow land vegetables, which resulted in poor efficiency and idleness, resulting in great waste. If the breeding rotation is carried out, the development of meat-eating chickens will not only obtain good economic benefits, but also provide a large amount of organic fertilizer for the development of vegetable production and realize a virtuous cycle of agriculture and Asia. Taking plain county of Shandong Province as an example, there are 20,000 winter vegetable greenhouses, if there is 40% of the development and cultivation rotation, 5,000 broilers will be bred in each batch per shed, and 2 batches will be slaughtered, and each profit will be calculated at 1 yuan. The county shed households can increase income by 80 million yuan. It is easy to learn how to use sheds to breed broilers. If you grasp the following points, you can succeed.

Prepare for pre-breeding

1. Conduct a comprehensive inspection and repair of the greenhouse to ensure that there is no wind and no leakage. Shed curtains are prepared on the roof for insulation and hot summer days to prevent direct sunlight.

2. The vegetable stalks harvested in the shed were all cleaned out, leveled and tamped, and covered with 3 cm to 5 cm thick mat grass. Bamboo crickets and plastic films were used to make 20 brood huts spaced at a corner of the shed by 6 m2, and a 5 cm thick sawdust was spread on the shed floor for early brooding.

3. On the north side of the shed, a 0.8m to 1m wide corridor is separated by a nylon net to facilitate feeding and management. The entire breeding greenhouse is divided into a number of plots, each plot 80m2 ~ 100m2, the appropriate amount of hanging buckets and drinkers, placed in advance uniform.

4. Wash the buckets, drinking fountains and other feeding utensils with a disinfectant and wash them with clean water. 10 days before entering the chicken, the greenhouse was sterilized and sterilized. The first three days were followed by the use of a highly effective disinfectant for strict spray disinfection and adequate preparation.

Strengthen feeding management

Do a good job of insulation and ventilation, make full use of the insulation properties of a warm winter plastic greenhouse. The temperature in the early period is relatively low, and it should use the time from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the morning to open the straw curtain to increase the temperature of the greenhouse. The remaining time will be covered with double-layer straw curtain insulation, so that the temperature inside the greenhouse will be kept above 25°C. During the brooding period, a high temperature of 33°C or more is required. An electric heater can be used to increase the temperature of the brooding room to meet the growing needs of the chicks. The temperature in the later period is relatively high, and the temperature in the shed rises quickly. Sometimes it exceeds 25°C, and the curtain opening time should be gradually shortened until it is shaded with double-layer grass curtains throughout the day, so that the temperature in the shed is maintained at about 25°C. In the summer, the plastic film on the south side of the shed body can be rolled up and replaced with a nylon mesh, and the vent holes in the north wall can be opened to form air convection, which can provide ventilation and cooling effects.

The relative humidity in the humidity brooding room should be kept between 60% and 70%. If the humidity is too large or too small, the growth and development of the chicks will be affected. During the rearing of broilers, the litter should be kept dry.

Light from the youngest to the seventh day, using 24-hour light. Starting from the 8th day, all natural lighting is used and no lights are turned on at night to ensure that the chickens have enough rest time.

Strict prevention and control of disease

1. According to the epidemic situation of the local epidemic and the immunization program provided by the hatchery, the vaccines produced by the regular manufacturers are used, and immunizations are carried out in time and in sufficient quantities as required.

2. Broilers are raised on the ground and are often exposed to litter and are prone to coccidiosis. Therefore, several kinds of highly effective anticoccidial drugs should be selected and added at regular intervals to prevent coccidia.

3. Choose 2 to 3 kinds of antiseptic drugs, use them alternately and regularly sterilize them with chickens.
