Gene mapping technology breeds high-yielding dairy cows

The Finnish Agricultural and Food Research Center's pilot farms have succeeded in breeding high-yielding dairy cows using gene mapping technology. The gene mapping technique is to find and determine two or more genomes that can control milk production and control protein and fat content in milk from the dairy cow's embryo. The burdock breeded by gene location technology has been identified at the embryonic stage, so it is possible to know in advance the amount of milk produced by these calves and the content of fat and protein in the milk. This type of dairy cow not only has a high milk yield, but also has a good milk quality, and it can also produce the prescribed "component milk."
